I'm on my lunch break at work and I was thinking I should stop by and update this journal that I swore we would keep up on. Unfortunately, again we lied. But I'll try and promise again that we'll keep at it. Okay? I PROMISE! Besides recording tons of new tunes and totally ripping apart and rebuilding our live show, I've been extremely obsessed with LOST. Some of you may or may not know my extreme passion and desire for the one shipwrecked(or should I say planewrecked)island lady.....Kate. This week the news that she was marrying that drug head Charlie hit me like a sack of over sized doorknobs. Still..I press on and soothe my bruises with a daily dosage of Guinness and online shopping. For all of you that don't know THIS: Ebay is the most addicting monster in our universe. I think there should be counseling for those that are truly addicted....kinda like AA...but instead it'd be EA? Then you'd get into lawsuits from EA Sports, but those games are addicting too. So either way you're stuck.
It really stinks not playing shows right now. My weekends are incredibly boring when I'm not with my wonderful girlfriend. It's too cold or wet to do anything else. Luckily we have one this weekend in Pennsgrove. All of the info is on the usual Internet locations: MySpace, Purevolume, Foster website. We'll be trying out a new song that is tentatively titled "Yo What's Up(with all these long song titles)" I'm so excited about all these new songs. It's definitely our best stuff so far and I feel like it already blows the older stuff 'outta da wadda'
Finally, last weekend I had the pleasure of seeing Houston Calls in West Chester. I haven't seen those dudes in a while and it was so nice to hangout and catch up. I have to say, if you don't have their record right now you are missing out. Go see them live and pick it up, you won't be disappointed. "A Collection of Short Stories" <----Get it now! That is all.

No one has beaten my high score in Mini Putt. Is miniature golf not cool anymore? Isn't that one of the most popular things to do on a date besides making out wearing too much cologne? You can play the game www.addictinggames.com/miniputt.html. But more importantly, we are finally back to playing shows.
Date: November 12th, 2005 Venue:Future Starz Studios, 15 Gloria Lane in Fairfield NJ 07004 Time 6 PM Bands: The Consequence, She Could Be King, Good To Go, Solace, Mike Gelberg
I really miss being on tour and driving around being poor. Now I just sit around home and believe it or not.........still broke! If you're gonna be broke, you might as well have fun doing it!
I'm sure you've heard all of us say how much we love the Junior Varsity. Recently Andy's girlfriend was reported missing. Please read the information below, and if you can be of any help, please contact the number listed. This is not a joke. Please repost this too!
Hello,
This is Andy Wildrick from The Junior Varsity. As of recently, my girlfriend of 3 years, Olamide Adeyooye, has been reported missing by the police. The last known place she was at was Family Video on Kottage Avenue in NORMAL, ILLINOIS on Thursday October 12th at about 9:00pm. Both her and her car are missing. Her cell phone was left at her apartment and her TV was on so she wasn't planning on being gone for long. As you can imagine, this is one of the hardest things I've ever encountered in my life. She is 5'1" tall and weighs about 100lbs. She is Nigerian. If you have any information please email me ASAP at andywildrick@gmail.com I will get the email on my blackberry immediately. Thanks.
Andy

Here are some specific points of interest:
The last person to see Olamide (Ola) Adeyooye was me on late thursday afternoon. She didn't show up for work yesterday OR today and every single person close to her in her life has not seen her or talked to her since thursday night. A little bit ago, her apartment was broken into by NPD and her cell phone was found on the counter.
If anyone has any information, you can call the normal police or me, Ashley Petrey, at 630-674-7949.
Here is what she looks like: www.myspace.com/olamide1
Also? I will be posting this again periodically throughout the night, but if any of you can copy and repost, and then your friends can copy and repost, and so on and so on, you'd be doing us all a large favor.
Post with the title of something like "This woman is missing, not a joke" or something with her name in it or something that'll get people to read it.
Shot in the dark, but it's all worth trying.
Please help us
Love,
Olamide's family and friends Ashley Petrey
if you have heard anything at all please contact someone...
she drives a green '95 Toyota Corolla...(Illinois) license plate .. LBG 927. her car isnt at her apartment. I know everyone is worried about her.

Sorry I'm a little late posting this, who knows if anyone is even reading this journal yet. I have a lot of down time at work because our server isn't too reliable. To help pass the time I try to find games/puzzles to keep me busy while stuff gets fixed. This has been my main addiction for the past few weeks. It's 18 holes of miniature golf. My high score is at 21 but I have made hole-in-one's on every hole at some point. So it's compeletely possible to get an 18. If you happen to beat my score(which I know you won't muahahaha), please send me a copy of the screen shot with your score card in an E-Mail to FosterMusic@gmail.com. Without any further delay, here is the link: http://www.addictinggames.com/miniputt.html
Also, The Junior Varsity is playing tomorrow at the Bloomfield Ave Cafe. You should all definitely go, they are an amazing band, go pick up their new record "Wide Eyed." I'm sure you've already heard all of us talk about it, but we're fo real!! It's that good!
When is this rain going to stop? My car is full of water and I feel silly using an umbrella. Anyone catch last night's episode of LOST? I'll push that button every 108 mintues with Kate until the cows come home.....or until Desmond comes back. Happy putting!
Brian

ok.. my turn to update and say whats up fools. Since we got home from tour i got 3 jobs: waiting tables, counting cash at a retail store (7am on weekends.. sharkbite.), and reffing basketball games.. we are getting things together on some new tunes and we should have demos done soon... i got a new dog named steve (check out his myspace page: www.myspace.com/stevethedog) and he keeps me busy getting me up early and what not. i grew a beard starting in dallas, tx on tour and have since decided to keep it around at least for another little while (i guess thats what happens when the notebook is on hbo too much this summer) im not sure what else has been going on.. nothing too crazy.. a lot of just hanging at home and playing guitar. i give thumbs up to: the junior varisity - 'wide eyed' (i just can't get sick of this cd.. anyone else going to see them in montclair on friday?), the new minus the bear, dave attell's las vegas special w/ dane cook and greg giraldo (tivo'd the uncensored one last night.. so good.), fall in NJ is the shit.. backyard fires with good tunes and good friends beat the bars any night. later clowns!

I'm still waiting for Tim at Shiftcore to add a link to our journal on FosterNJ.com, but for now you can access it through our myspace and Purevolume page. Sorry it took so long for us to get it up and running. We promise to keep it updated with funny stuff and news that we can't fill up our main site with. Since we got home from tour we've been working on a lot of new songs and just getting them all recorded into Pro Tools. Jeff already spilt a whole bottle of red Gatorade on my carpet during our first recording session. Whoever invented Oxyclean should be given a nobel prize. I cleaned it with a shirt that I used to wear all the time, but had to stop when my mom starting dusting the house with it. This weekend I went camping and it rained the whole time. I was warming my toosh by the campfire and my jeans caught on fire. Thank you to my friend megan for pointing it out to me and smothering the flame.
I'm also very caught up in the 2nd season of LOST. Tom and I exchange the clues we find every week and try to figure why they are on that island. I think I got it figured out, but I won't spoil it for anyone. There's a great site that talks about the show and all the clues at http://www.lost-tv.com/. It's my personal favorite and is organized really nicely. I haven't registered to post on the boards yet because the threads can get pretty intense. Lot of emotion flying around, you can cut the tension with an oversided butcher's knife! Kate doesn't know it yet, but once she gets off the island.....she'll be marrying me.

So our ride home from recording was pretty intense. We played a show in Philadelphia and we went to Pat's to get ourselves some Cheesesteaks. Our good friends Jackson, Becky, and Kate also came to hangout and Jackson's mom bought us all Cheesesteaks (flippin awesome!). We dropped Tom off in Glassboro NJ at around 10:00 and started our 2 hour drive home. After 10 miles the tie rod fell off the passenger side wheel, which meant we couldn't steer our van. Somehow Jim got it on the side of the road and we called Triple AAA to take advantage of our sweet RV Plus Membership. WHICH MEANS they tow our van and trailer up to 100 miles with no charge. YES!! BUT! They had us down as a basic member, so after a lot of arguing, 130 bucks, and a whole lot more of equipment moving, we finally got on the road back home. We moved all our stuff into Jeff's apartment using Tom's Dodge Neon, which took a good amount of time and a lot of skillful packing. Jeff's brother came down to pick us up at 2 in the morning and we made it back home at around 6 in the am. Thank you Tim Cullen, because without you we would have been stranded for quite sometime! Good thing we had some sweet beards to keep our faces warm while we were stranded on the side of the road in the cold! If you haven't already, you can see some sweet pictures of our trailer on top of the tow truck. The tow truck guy didn't have a hitch for a trailer, so our trailer went on the flat bed and our van got towed with this little car hitch that didn't seem to work too well. Overall it was still a fun time and we love our new songs and the amazing job Matt Squire did on them. Matt Squire.....best producer of the year. He gets my vote! A bad pool player though....tisk tisk!

so we're in maryland recording at Matt Squire's Jewdio, day 2- Jimmy is smackin around on the drums right now and me, tom and brian are watching some aquateen hungerforce dvds. yesterday was a lot of fun.. Brian was the responsible father figure who awoke us from our hungover slumbers to make the drive down in the morning and in his excitement to get here he got pulled over... fucking 67 in a 50... brian's a wild man, he can't drive 55 cmon now. It was crazy - the cop was driving this crazy brand new undercover Pontiac GTO and apparently since we're 4 scruffed out looking dudes in a sketchy van/trailer set up he tells us to hang tight while the drug dogs come to get a whiff of what real rock and roll smells like. Luckily we all left our crack at home for the week and lead-foot richardi was let off with a warning (which will be framed, matted, and hung in foster headquarters). we got down here around 12 and started working through the 3 songs we're recording.. made some cool new changes that we're all really stoked about... we'll probably put one on purevolume eventually.. alright thats enough for me.. later clowns. jeff

This is Brian Foster comin to you live from my couch. We just had practice tonight and did some touching up on these new songs before our big week with Matt Squire. January 4th is our day of departure and then it's 5 days of no sleep and mexican cuisine in College Park, Maryland while we record these new jams. I for one am very excited, but do not look forward too living in a building without any windows for the next week. There is also a really cool company that shares the same building and they rent out all this super sweet equipment to big touring bands. And when they come back at 3 in the morning and start unloading truckloads of equipment, it scares the willies outta me! I'll get some of the other Foster's to leave a little somethin on here. Jeff will try to be the most witty of course. What a goober.
